what started as a personal obsession with mid-century modern and postmodern design slowly grew into something much deeper — a practice of curation rooted in history, form, and feeling.

long before 4e1vintage, i was a collector.

in my teenage years, i was immersed in vintage drum sets — pieces from the 60s through the early 2000s — drawn not just to how they sounded, but to the stories they carried. as a jazz musician in the making, i developed a deep appreciation for craftsmanship, aging, and the quiet beauty of things that have lived a life before you.

that same instinct followed me years later, when i began picking up discarded furniture from curbsides across new jersey — pieces overlooked, but full of potential. i started restoring them, photographing them, and listing them on facebook marketplace simply for the joy of it.

what began as curiosity quickly became obsession.

i found myself sourcing pieces i genuinely loved — warm woods, chrome, leather, lucite, space-age silhouettes, timeless mid-century lines — and slowly, people began to take notice.

one piece turned into a collection.
a collection turned into a business.

today, 4e1vintage serves new york city and the tri-state area, with over 400 five-star reviews and a growing community of people who value thoughtful design and character-filled spaces.

but at its core, nothing has really changed.

i still handpick every piece — from sourcing, to staging, to delivery — ensuring that each item carries presence, intention, and a sense of story.

this isn’t just about furniture.

it’s about finding pieces that feel like you — pieces that hold weight, spark conversation, and quietly transform a space into something more personal, more lived-in, more meaningful.

4e1vintage is about curation.

and maybe, the next piece finds its way into the place you call home.

thank you for supporting independent vintage and giving these pieces a second life.
