beautiful pair of vintage 1980’s steelcase model 454 lounge chairs featuring an incredible space-age silhouette with sculptural chrome arms, pedestal bases, and soft blue / periwinkle upholstery.
chairs have a distinctly futuristic presence — curved shell backs, floating seat appearance, rounded forms, and sleek chrome detailing that feel straight out of a late 70’s / 80’s sci-fi interior. the kind of seating that instantly elevates a room without trying too hard.
extremely comfortable with a soft supportive sit. would work beautifully as desk chairs, lounge seating, studio chairs, vanity seating, or statement accent chairs in a postmodern interior.
these are stationary-height chairs and fit well with most standard desk and table setups.
