authentic vintage Harry Bertoia wire side chairs for Knoll in an incredibly good red + forest green color combination.
designed by Bertoia in 1952, the chair is one of the most recognizable pieces of mid-century modern furniture — essentially turning welded steel wire into a sculptural seat. Knoll has kept the design in continuous production since its introduction.
these retain their vintage red finish with original-style green upholstered seat pads. Knoll International labels remain underneath the cushions.
good vintage condition with plenty of honest character. the red finish shows paint loss, chips, scuffs, and wear throughout from age and use, giving the pair a great original vintage patina. structurally sound and ready for use.
