authentic herman miller eames dss-1 stacking chairs in a beautiful dark brown upholstered finish. almost black in certain lighting, but definitely brown in person — a really clean, subtle colorway that feels warmer and more interesting than standard black.
classic charles & ray eames shell silhouette with the dss stacking base, originally designed for functional institutional use while still carrying that timeless eames profile. these stack neatly and are super practical while still looking incredible around a dining table, office, studio, or creative space.
the dark brown upholstery presents beautifully overall with light vintage wear throughout, including minor surface scuffs from age and use. fiberglass shells have original herman miller markings underneath.
overall in excellent vintage condition. one of the foot glides is shaved/worn from age and use, but the chair is still very stable and fully functional.
